Level up your dragon until it can be used as a mount. By gaining experience points you will also unlock the Broadwing and Shortwing abilities to shoot fireballs and perform other flying techniques. Hatch multiple dragons as you progress through the game. You can also catch dragons or get them for free when on sale. Having several dragons in your lineup allows you to use a substitute when one runs out of energy.
