Lara normally does not have a ranged attack unless she finds a spear. Move to a space with a spear on the ground and Lara will automatically pick it up. It will be stored for later use. To throw the spear, you must be on the same level as your target and have a clear path. Valid targets will glow white. Although your spear will be gone after thrown, it will result in a one hit kill.
