While in the menu screen,
hit W to choose which wave you want to begin with (1 to 10)
Hit Command M (or the space bar) to change the background music.
Hit X to bring up random quotes such as
"Dekard was a replicant"
Sure it's weird stuff, but it seems to be the norm with games from Ambrosia.
