If you come in dino domain, you must take ancient lake. and than if the race has started you have to go right on the grass ( but you have to take a blue balloon) then you see rock gate, go to it and use the redoubt (before you go on it you have to use the boost) to jump to the key. It 'll take a few times if you get but, you not have to come in first.
