You can unlock a new feature in story viewer each time you beat that particular story in any of the single player modes.

Feature	How to unlock
Bad Progress	Complete an objective from the same story book 5 times.
Bad Results Image	Complete an objective from the same story book 3 times.
BMG	Complete an objective from the same story book 6 times.
Game Background, and playability in Challenge and Versus modes	Complete a story books objective for the first time.
Good Progress	Complete an objective from the same story book 4 times.
Good Results Image	Complete an objective from the same story book twice.
