Hero Souls can be carried over between Ascensions. Each Hero Soul conveys a 10% damage boost. You will earn one Hero Soul for every 2,000 levels possessed in total by your Heroes. Hero Souls can also be earned by defeating Centurions or Primal Bosses for the first time during a run.
