Successfully complete the game on the Easy or Normal difficulty to unlock "The Secrets Of Defense" item, which causes you to take less damage from blocking. You can add it to your inventory from the item box when you reload a save or start a new game. Note: If both "The Essence Of Defense" and "The Secrets Of Defense" are in your inventory, blocks will negate 100% damage every time.
