Battles
Battles are mostly automatic, however you must still control shields and special attacks. Group attacks based on the types of enemies that are present. Execute special attacks to make chains of two or three similar attack types. Attacks have different levels of usefulness. Some are better in melee, others are ranged, and still more are area of effect. Use your Goddess's special abilities when they are most beneficial. Always have one saved for Boss battles.
Training
Spend bread (obtained from the Bakery or from quests) to train your heroes after they are promoted. Although this is expensive, it can increase their skills significantly. Spend the maximum number of bread to train them once per ranking.
