If you want to get a high score, it's extremely easy to do - it just takes more time to really go for the high score. Ignore all of the opportunities for moon shots, as they make it easier for the ball to come cratering downward, causing you to lose the round. Shoot the ball above the line over and over, then let go of the screen and let the ball fall and bounce.

However, nobody plays for the high score. The real fun of this game is shooting the ball as far into space as you can. That's a far tougher goal, and requires a hell of a lot of aim. You're going to have to establish the right combination of speed, and aiming the ball into the downhill of a dune so that you can launch it high into the air.

To do that, you want to hit the screen at the right point (finding the point requires a ton of practice) and send it downward from the sky into the downhill portion of the dune at as high of a speed as possible. Hold the screen until the bottom of the canyon, then let go of the screen right before the ball starts to shoot uphill, and watch it shoot sky high.

Hit a smooth landing to double your score on the next shot, and hit two smooth landings in a row to quadruple your score on the next shot, and to change the color of everything on the screen. Every subsequent smooth landing in a row will be at a 4x multiplier again. This means that the moon shot will be worth 4 points and the "and beyond!" will be worth 8 points.

The ads can be a little bit annoying at times. The way that you can get rid of them is to buy a two-dollar in-app purchase that gets rid of all the ads. In addition, if you don't want to make the purchase, then play the game with no data connection (airplane mode, or iPad not connected to wifi), and the ads will go away and stop appearing.
