Headshots cause more damage and will earn a score multiplier as well. Take some time to aim carefully for headshots whenever possible. This is particularly important because battles cannot be replayed. You must try to perform your best in each one to get the most money for upgrades. Consider waiting for enemies to stand still and reload before taking them out cleanly. Learn their patterns to see who shoots first, then take them out individually.
