You will have a choice of bonuses between levels. Consider choosing extra hearts when possible if you have lost at least one already. This will help you progress farther. If hearts are not needed or are unavailable, choose a bonus that is always active that will always be beneficial, for example the extra bonus you obtained by collecting crystals, or the trophy awards bonus points the small monsters are killed.
