Complete the game at least one time before attempting a speed run. During your run, pause the game during puzzles to formulate a solution. Note: You cannot exit to the menu or restart the level if you fail or your time will be saved. Chapters one and three are important to your success. You should attempt to complete Chapter one in less than fifty minutes. Restart if you exceed this time. Avoid combat as much as possible. Use recoil jump as soon as it becomes available to influence gravity. You can then bypass many rooms quickly. You can run through Chapter 4 almost without any combat. The final two chapters should not require more than thirty minutes. You can save a lot of time in sections with mandatory combat when you are waiting for elevators if you can complete them without any deaths.
