Layout
When you refresh a level, the puzzle will appear different however it will be the same puzzle from before. The board will have been rotated, and the colors of the batteries will change. However the connection paths between end points will still be the same. This rotation is helpful, as viewing the level from a different angle can give you a new perspective on new pathways. You may be able to reorient yourself quickly to the how the level was before and use pathways that were already considered. Search the level for dead end connections or paths that force only one choice. These often appear in corners or close to obstacles that block multiple approach points. Begin from those areas to fill as many boxes as possible. If a bridge is on a level, begin by finding the connections that are nearest. Both the bridge and the tunnel underneath can only support a connection in a single direction, unlike regular squares. Use those limitations to eliminate possibilities. After getting your first connections, work in or out in concentric pathways. Successful connections will reveal themselves quickly as the level becomes covered. The closest or shortest path between two points may not the correct one. Check how many squares you can cover with your circuit to test out the various possibilities.
Stars
Complete a level within a set amount of moves to earn stars that will unlock special puzzles. A perfect score on the first attempt is not required. There is no countdown timer on regular levels, so rushing is not required. You can refresh that level repeatedly until getting the correct moves. Do not get sloppy turns on corners or dropped connections just before reaching your destination or you will lose at least one move.
Super levels
After progressing far enough to unlock super levels, a number of gold stars will be required. Quickly scan batteries for timers and begin with those connections. After completing a timed connection, search the remainder of the level to plan your next move. If a timed battery must be disconnected the timer will start again. Do not do so until you know exactly how you want to continue. When a Super level is refreshed, it will change colors and be rotated. Use the countdown timers above specific batteries to orient yourself to reproduce the pathways that were previously successful.
