Drake's head does not descend as fast as you expect. You do not have to tap rapidly, and can just allow him to coast through the pipes and collect the Grammies. When flying through pipes, tap when Drake is in between them. If you tap just before a pip or when underneath, you will lose a life. Because each trap will increase altitude by quite a bit, it is usually safest to tap when at the bottom and just about to hit the lower pipe.
