In Tower Duel mode it is not necessary to answer questions in all the categories so if you come across one you don't feel comfortable with just move onto one you are more confident with. If there is a category you are exceptionally good at you need to make sure you focus on it as much as possible in order to get ahead of the competition.
Extra Lives
One of the advantages of forming a team with friends who play regularly is that you will be able to ask them for some extra lives by tapping on the 'Ask Lives' button. You will also be able to return the favor and send them help when they need it.
Keep an Eye on the Clock
In order to win in Tower Duel mode you will have to beat the clock which is set at six minutes. To have any chance of doing this it is important that you do not linger too long in any of the categories. If you come across a question you have absolutely no idea what the answer is it is more beneficial to move on to the next question instead of wasting precious seconds. The objective of Tower Duel mode is not to get a perfect score but to earn more than your opponent within the time limit.
Opponents Categories
Most players will start by answering their best categories so at the start of the game take some time to observe your opponent to see what categories they go for first. As this is a time-based game and not a turn based one you will be able to take advantage if your opponent uses up all their moves straight away as it will enable you to spend yours more strategically.
Power-Ups
There are a total of 240 levels in Trivia Crack 2 and each of them are represented by a collectable cartoon character that you win along with some gold bars when you beat the level. The gold bars that you earn will allow you to buy power-ups or double chance during the game. Basically the more you play the game the more crowns and characters you will be able to collect which will enable you to earn gold bars that can be used on getting power-ups that can then be used to save you from difficult questions.
Remember to Vote
After you have answered a question an option will appear asking you if it was 'boring' or 'fun'. If you take the time to vote the game will take the data regarding your preferences and customise the game to ensure you have a better experience in the long run as the artifical intelligence system will recognise which questions you are good at.
Teams
You are given the option to create a team or if you prefer to join an existing one. If you decide to create a team you will automatically become the team captain. By default anyone will be able to join your team but as captain you will be able to kick out anyone you don't like. As the team's level is dependent on the sum of all the members' levels it is advised that you keep an eye on who joins your team and set a minimum level for your team and place it in your team description. Although doing this will not stop low-level players from joining your team it should at least discourage those who don't meet the requirement from joining. Putting together a team that is not set back by low-scoring players will help your reach the top of the global or national rankings. The maximum number of players that can be in one team is fifty.
Weekly Missions
You may want to consider participating in the weekly missions as they are a good way to win crowns which result in gold bars. You can gain access to these missions by clicking the upper right corner of the screen. There will be four missions and each one you complete will grant you crowns that can be used to collect new characters. Missions are limited in time and will need to be completed by the weekend.
