Weapons of the Game

Power Beam- The basic beam weapon for that Samus starts off with. It provides just enough power to kill basic enemies, but still not strong enough to destroy more intimidating enemies. It is fairly weak, but becomes stronger once it gets the Charge Beam upgrade.

Charge Beam- Samus can get the Charge Beam after defeating the Core-X in Sector 1. This is a much more powerful energy beam, and can be charged for a wider, more powerful shot. A charged power beam has the same amount of power as a missile. Much more effective for combat, and is also capable of destroying much more potential enemies.

Wide Beam- This power-up for Samus's beam weapon adds much more firepower. It fires a wide energy blast that is more capable for destroying enemies. A charged shot provides an energy blast almost as strong as a super missile.

Plasma Beam- The Plasma Beam is the most powerful beam weapon in the game. It fires wide, powerful shots that can cut through and damage multiple enemies at a time. This allows devastating power. It is obtained much later in the game.

Wave Beam- After the defeat of the Security Robot in Sector 6, the Wave beam is the last of the beam upgrades in the game. It allows penetration through powerful enemies, and its unique energy properties allow passage through solid objects such as walls and pillars. This beam allows enough power to face the SA-X.

Missiles- Missiles are a valuable asset in the game. It is able to destroy enemies that the beam can hurt. They allow a good level of firepower, and used for defense against strong enemies.

Super Missile- An upgrade for the missile, the Super Missile upgrade allows extreme devastating power against enemies. Each shot is capable of complete neutralization. After Samus obtains this, she becomes powerful in the game.

Ice Missile- This new upgrade gives a good frosty sting to enemies. Once frozen, enemies can be safe to stand on, without taking any damage. It also gives a little more firepower, and can freeze even the more potential enemies.

Diffusion- Diffusion is the powerful upgrade that originally wasn't built for Samus. Even though the Federation developed this super weapon, they didn't want Samus to grow too powerful. But, this upgrade is needed anyways. This Diffusion upgrade allows your ice missiles to be charged to ahigh rate of power, then released into a frosty explosion at impact. This allows damage and freezing to multiple enemies at a time.

Bombs- Bombs are the weapon of the Morph Ball ability. Samus can lay 4 at a time, and they can cause a good amount of damage to enemies. These also can be used to destroy certain blocks and walls, and also to propel Samus a little ways into the air.

Power Bombs- These are very powerful, and can destroy or damage enemies in the entire screen. This can be used to illuminate areas or destroy all bomb blocks in the blast.

Screw Attack- An energy field that is generated when Samus summersaults, and it can destroy pretty much everything. Once this is obtained, Samus is pretty much invincible.
