Don't save if you see any problems or if it does not work. If you do encounter a shiny pokemon, shut the AR off, then Nickname the pokemon you caught(You do this so your pokemon's name does not get glitched up), Then after you nickname it you can catch as many shinys as you want/just use the method above so your Pokemon's name does not get messed up. Also don't save after you caught your 1st Shiny with this code....some people have reported that the pokemon would turn into a Bad Egg(this only happend a few time), so make sure the pokemon is not a Bad Egg, if its not, well, show off you shinys to your friends!
