These features can be unlocked by doing well in the Shooting Range. While these are measured in SS Ranks, it may be possible for lower ranks to open these options. Player Life, Time Limit, and Continue are in the Options menu.

Can set Continue to 3.	17 SS Ranks.
Can set Time Limit to +20.	7 SS Ranks.
Can set Time Limit to +30.	10 SS Ranks.
Can set player life to 6.	1 SS Rank.
Can set player life to 7.	3 SS Ranks.
Can set player life to 8.	5 SS Ranks.

Successfully complete arcade mode to unlock advanced story. This mode features new missions and a new ending.
