Change starting number of Credits
Enter Options from the main menu. Immediately press up, down, C, Down, B, B, B, Up, C. Press Start to return to the main menu. Enter Sound Test next. Press Start to return to the main menu. Enter Options again, and the Credits selection is now present.

To use this trick, you must play as Scooter, and you must have enough energy to self-destruct. When your life gets to zero, self-destruct and you can continue the game without dying.
Note: You must repeat this code each time you're about to die.
