When you are creating a player (not a goalie) set all of his skills to 81. When your player is picked some of his skills will exceed 90! For a good overall player, try these settings:

Agility: 92
Speed: 92
Off. awareness: 78
Def. awareness: 78
Shot power: 92
Shot accuracy: 78
Stick handling: 92
Checking: 92
Pass accuracy: 65
