More General Tips

There are two main ways you can do the starting breaks. You can either hit the first ball as hard as you can with a top spin to achieve maximum velocity and spread the balls across the table; or you can be a bit more devious, and aim carefully for one of the back ones so that the cue ball stays in the bunch, making it more difficult for your opponent. Always think a couple of moves ahead. All of the professional pool players visualize the ball's path and set up the cue ball for the next shot. Learn the spins. It might be more tempting to just hit the ball head first and hope for the best, but sometimes the right spin can make even those impossible shots look like a piece of cake. If you really can't make out where the cue ball will end up, use a ruler and find the trajectories easily. Tournaments are time-limited, so make sure you move quickly. Use vibration settings to get a gentle reminder when it is your time to shoot. If your shots are too weak, you run the risk of the cue ball never reaching the side of the table and thus making a foul. Use the diamonds on the table's edge to calculate your shots. Make sure you practice offline before taking on any online players.

Various Gameplay Tips

Pay careful attention to your power meter. Keep in mind you only have a limited amount of time to take each shot. Be very careful about playing hard and fast shots while there are still plenty of balls left on the table. Play a soft angular shot that will give your opponent something to think about. There are three power-ups you can use on the table: one will improve the aiming lines you're provided with, the next allows you to apply greater spin to the cue ball, and the third increases the maximum power available. You'll get a handful of these as you level up, but more are available to buy from the in-app purchase store. In order to unlock new tables, you need to level up. The game will warn you if you're about to hit an incorrect ball type by placing a red circle with a line through it over the target ball. Pay attention so you don't give away an easy free shot! To add spin to the cue ball, first line up your shot, then tap on the white cue ball icon found in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Set the spin you want to achieve, then apply the power meter to take your shot.
