Always use your cards in conjunction with each other. For example, use a Trap followed by a Facebreaker or a Royal Flush to make a big push against the enemy ship caught in the trap. You can use Blowhard and Cyclone as pushers to keep other players off treasure tiles or upgrade tiles.
