Always look to upgrade your Command Center as this will give you more power to work with.
Infantry
Although infantry don't stand a chance against flame turrets they are useful against rocket turrets as they are able to sneak by them.
Move Buildings
It is possible to move any building just by tapping and holding on it.
Notifications
Don't forget to enable push notifications for Apoc Wars so you recieve notifications when your buildings have finished being constructed or upgraded.
Recover
Stay in your base if you are trying to recover as there is a limit to how many times you can be attacked in a day and that limit is reset whenever you attack an enemy base.
Smog of War
Don't worry about the smog of war as this will completely dissipate when you destroy the enemies Command Center.
Upgrading Resources
A good strategy is to build at least two of each resource producer because a producer will not produce anything while it is being upgraded and having more than one allows you to upgrade them one at a time.
Vehicles
Although vehicles are able to resist bullets and fire they do not have much defence against rocket turrets.
