Epic Flail

Control

Use precise and accurate taps to prevent your character from attacking wildly. For a hit to count, your character's flail must move fast enough before striking your opponent's head. There is also an optimal distance required for a proper strike. This is about the distance from your opponent you are placed at from the start a round. Take one quick step forward to get some forward momentum and allow your flail to land a critical hit. Lure your opponent into an attack by walking back and forth rapidly. Walk just shy of your opponent's attack range, then quickly walk out of it. If done correctly, your opponent will swing their flail, leaving them open to an attack. Be careful not to get hit by their flail while it is being brought back up. Your movement and momentum are important to control. Do not swing your mace while standing still. Tap to swing while moving forward slightly. As your flail lags behind it will gain speed with your character. Swinging now will give your flail enough force to reach your opponent. Something similar can be done while recovering your flail back into a neutral stance. Moving backwards will give the flail enough momentum to swing back into its neutral position.
