You can gain access to additional cars. They seem to control the same, but there are cosmetic differences that you may find appealing. Each one costs 100 coins, and the next one you get is determined at random. You can gather coins during each run, or by watching ad videos (when available).
Jumps Are Okay
It might not always seem like it, but the jumps can work in your favor. Though you might have difficulty controlling your vehicle, you can see the course ahead of you as you launch from one ramp or another. That lets you quickly get an idea what challenges you might face next, so you can steer around them with plenty of time to spare. However, do keep in mind that you can't steer while airborne. You need to be ready to redirect immediately upon landing, when necessary.
Shields Rule
As you advance through a course, you'll occasionally come across a blue shield that allows you to pass through obstacles without ending your run. This is of course quite useful, but don't let that temporary power go to your head. When its effects vanish, you'll be extremely vulnerable once more. Make sure that you don't put yourself into a dangerous position, or your invincibility could end just when you need it most. Instead, continue to navigate the course with reasonable caution, and keep your eye on the road ahead.
Tap a Lot
You can hold your finger on the directional arrows to make wide turns, but that could take away some of your control and tends to make it easier to crash into obstacles. Instead, see how far you can get with quick, precise taps. Master tapping and you should have an easier time weaving through the various hazards, which means longer runs.
