Battles
There are three strategies that can be used in battles; raid, attack, and defense. Raid is stronger than attack, attack is stronger than defense, and defense is stronger than raid. You can usually determine what kind of strategy an enemy is using, Always counterattack with the correct strategy. You can check their choice near the top of the screen, behind part of the user interface. A triangle shape indicates a raid, a square is an attack, and a rounded circle is defense. If a part of your fleet is destroyed, your next fleet can select a different strategy while your enemy will always be forced to stay with their current strategy.
Resources
After completing quests, the "Venture" option will become available under "Resources". This will let you to collect different resources for cheap. You will begin with 25 free ventures, but they are restored over time and as you progress through the main storyline.
Upgrades
The Tech option will become available as you progress. Techs are passive upgrades remain active once they are researched. Try to research as many of them as possible. Every captain in your fleet can equip up to six different items; weapon, engine, armor, shield, bio-depot, and chip. Always purchase the best equipment for your fleet. Your home base is where most of your resources are obtained. To get more resources, upgrade your buildings.
