Tip 1: When you start, build at least three barracks to maximize the production of soldiers.

Tip 2: Build the same number of hospitals as you have barracks. Hospitals make it easier for you to rebuild your defenses after you are attacked.

Tip 3: Make sure you have your warehouse upgraded as much as possible to hide as many resources as possible. If people cannot raid your resources, they will not have a reason to repeatedly attack.

Tip 4: The Academy helps you research a lot of things that in turn will unlock special items, such as traps and boosts.

Tip 5: After building a capable army, look for resource fields on the map to occupy. Search for the resources that you lack. You do not permanently own that area that is occupied. You can simply harvest it until your troops get to maximum capacity, then they will automatically return home with the resources.

Tip 6: Choose your quests based on the rewards, especially if they offer resources that you need.

Tip 7: Send your troops to an unoccupied location on the map. Other players will not have a reason to attack them, because they will not be gaining resources. However, this will put your troops at somewhat of a risk, as they will not have hospitals to heal them.

Tip 8: Try to balance your hero skill points by spending between attack skills when leveling up. Concentrate on troop attack at first, then choose research and food production. Follow that by troop training then all the attack skills. Ignore the production boosts because you should be getting enough resources as is.
