Always check all the balloons that are have available; both on the left and the right side. If none of those balloons can be used, tap the one deemed the most unnecessary to pop it. Only do this as a last resort. Examine the placement of all the balloons and develop a strategy. At times, focusing on one side is better, while at other times it is best to remove as many balloons at the base as possible.

Over time, you will earn two free pops to use in the mini-game at the levels screen and a chance to get free doubloons, hearts or power-ups.

Connect to Facebook and add your friends to have the ability to request and receive free hearts from them.

Create matches at the top, as close as possible to the pirate ship. By doing this, the balloons that appear will create new matches.

When using super balloons, make sure you only create matches with them. They are created by matching five or more balloons of the same color. They will activate certain special abilites.

Green Balloon: Green fog that pops some balloons above.
Red Balloon: Lightning bolt that blasts nearby red balloons randomly.
Purple Balloon: Swallows all surrounding balloons.
Yellow Balloon: Stars that randomly attach to balloons and pop them.
