In a game like this it is crucial that you select the right control scheme because without comfortable control over your plane you will never reach your potential. There are three control schemes that you can choose from, the digital on-screen joystick is probably the most responsive and precise of the three.

A good strategy is to keep firing at a high rate as you are diving in and out of dangerous airspace. Doing this increases the chances of you hitting an enemy before they get a chance to shoot at you.
