Accessories

Accessories can be Accessory types and Rune types. Once you place equipment and/or an accessory on a unit, it cannot be taken removed. The existing item will be destroyed when you equip a new item.

Elements

A Hero's element is determined by their weapon's element. A unit's element is determined by their native element. Water beats fire, fire beats grass, grass beats lightning, and lightning beats water. When a stronger element attacks a weaker element, their attack damage is increased by 30%.

Fusion

Fusion randomly creates a higher level piece of equipment by combining the same type of equipment.

Hard mode

You can start Hard mode after completing all Normal mode stages. More powerful monsters will appear, and you can earn more gold and experience points.

Heroes

The fastest way to get a new Hero, is to complete the Fortress of Chaos six times. This will reward you with enough medals to summon a Hero through the shop. Make sure your Hero is at least level 7 before doing so.

Horns

Horns can be obtained from your friends or when your friends use your Hero. Horns are used for summoning units or equipment. Friends can send Horns to each other once every 24 hours. The more friends you have, the more chance to get help in a battle. Friend units will only fight for fifteen seconds from when summoned. You can only have one summon per battle. The friend that joined you in the battle will receive five Horns in their mailbox.

Invincibility

When you use an active skill, your character will become invincible for the duration of the skill's animation. Use this to your advantage when you know a big attack is imminent, such as from a Boss. This can also be used to develop a hit-and-run tactic, where you can dash to a dangerous opponent, use all of your skills to do lots of damage without fear of retaliation, then running out and waiting for the cooldowns to end.

Mailbox

The mailbox is limited to storing 100 parcels for three days. Special packages are stored for seven days, and Horns for only one day.

Medals

Medals are earned through challenges. They are used for summoning units or equipment.

Monster difficulty

The following colors will indicate how difficult a particular enemy will be.

Crimson: Hard.
Orange: Challenging.
Red: Extremely Hard.
Yellow: Normal.

Party

Four units with their main and sub units will comprise your party. The main unit automatically participating in the battles. When a main unit gets killed, its sub unit will be automatically become active in the battle. In Fortress of Chaos and Battle of Heroes, all party members will take part in a battle together. There are four groups of parties that can be set. You can check the main party on the first page of the "Set Party" screen. You can set and use the different units for two to four sub parties. You can choose one of the set party groups before the battles, and the same member can be set to four different parties. Your party has a frontline and backline. The frontline will engage in battle first. When they are killed, the backline will take its place.

Quests

Each Act has multiple battles. Every series of battles has a Boss at the end. Two energy units are required to start a battle. One energy unit is replenished every eight minutes, up to a total of ten in your total. Each stage gives rewards for Reclearing. When you complete the Reclearing Quest, the stage will be marked with an exclamation point.

Rage gauge

The Rage gauge located at the bottom center of the screen is filled by using combos. You can purchase more powerful Rage skills at the "Get Ready" menu. The Rage skill can activate various effects, including Evade Danger or HP Recovery.

Skills

You can use your Hero's skills during battles. Skill effects can be different, depending on each type of your Hero's weapons. Once a skill is used, you can use it again after a cooldown period. You can only equip or use up to three active skills. You can also create combo skills to attack with up to three skills consecutively. Create unique combo skills equipping up to three skills to combo slots and using them consecutively in a battle. The cooldown period for equipped combo skills is 50% longer than the original skill. Slots will be expanded automatically when you reach to certain levels or by spending gems.

Stage rewards

When you complete a stage you will get the chance to try your luck to get one of three reward items. This reward may contain Hero's equipment or a unit. You can also spend 10 gems to draw your cards again. In order to get the reward after completing a stage, claim it by tapping the item icon after selecting the stage. After doing so, the "clear" sign will appear. Then, go to your mail and open the chest that was sent to you. You must repeat the process each time you clear a stage again. The Deadly Boss randomly appears when you clear a stage. Defeat it to get the Chest of Empire. You can get six-star equipment and elite units from a Chest of Empire.

Talents

Talents are passive abilities. Up to three of them can be slotted initially, with more slots becoming available at levels 50, 70, and 90. Early talents that are useful include Sharp Blade (increased attack and explosion resistance), Persistent Life (increased health and freeze resist), and Steel Armor (increased defense and thunder resist).

Units

Units cannot be controlled. However, you can place them for maximum results. If you position a unit in front, it will engage a monster first. You can permanently expand the units equipment slots up to 100. If your unit storage is full, you cannot enter a battle. You can upgrade your units up to 5 ATK, DEF, and HP. You can use the same or lower level unit as a resource to upgrade a base unit. When using the same level unit material your success will be guaranteed. When using a lower level unit material, your success rate will vary depending on the level difference between the base and material units. You can also fuse two same level units. Each unit's level should be 30 and their upgraded level should be 5. To use a unit must leave a party before being used as fusion material. You can randomly get one higher level unit than the base unit through fusion. Any equipped items on your units will be removed when fusing.

Upgrading

You can upgrade your Hero's weapon and armor to a maximum of level 10. You will need one material for upgrading, and only the same type of equipment can be used. You cannot upgrade if the material level is higher than the equipment you want to upgrade.
