Save your coins for the end of a round. If you only need a few more moves to complete a level, you can spend 70 coins to get three more moves. Use these tactics on tougher levels that do not include a lot of spare moves.
Freeing captured jellies
When a special jelly's ray hits the jelly you have to free, it will count as five jellies. Create chains and blast them through the jelly that must be freed.
Friends
You will need the help of friends to proceed past level 43. Additionally, friends can give you extra lives.
Matches
Start matches at the bottom, unless must remove mushrooms or slime guards at the top of the level. A new jellies will drop in the level, new matches will automatically be made and more will be cleared. This is a good strategy to use when you have levels with dark jellies at the top and bottom. Always try to match as many jellies as possible to increase the chances of getting special jellies, as well as raise the score you receive per jelly cleared.
Mushrooms
Some levels feature mushrooms that block the way and create empty squares. Try to remove the mushrooms as fast as possible to fill the level. The more jellies you have, the more possible combinations you have, and the better the chance for huge chains.
Removing dark jelly
If you are having problems removing dark jelly, make a couple quick three piece connection to shift the jelly. Try connecting jellies that are a color that is rare on the current level. If you save one color, you will still have a chance of making a super jelly. You may then have the pieces required to get rid of the dark jelly.
Scoring
Develop a strategy for completing levels in as few moves as possible.
Super jellies
Complete small combos and save one color of jellies to create a super jelly combo. The last jelly you connect is where the row or column will be destroyed. Try to set things up so that the last jelly in the combo is in the row or column you want removed.
