As you progress, you will be able to purchase appliance upgrades from the Market with in-app coins or cash. They allow you to cook faster, preventing customers from leaving and giving you better tips. The most useful appliance upgrades are the Frying Pan, Boiling Pot, and Mixing Bowl because they can be used most frequently.
Keeping customers happy
On several levels, you can preparing ingredients or full dishes before the orders start coming in. This is easier with food such as hamburger patties, pancake or waffle base mix, Caesar salad, and sliced vegetables. Every customer encountered will usually want the same thing. For example, the skinny man with glasses will order an omelet or egg; another character that only likes bacon; and the girl with a baby who always wants fries. Recognize those customers so you can start preparing their dish ahead of time. Customers will have hearts displayed, that decrease over time. Keep track of which character placed their order first. It is usually best to serve them in first come, first served order. However, you should always consider the complexity of the dish and change the order of people served as needed. Some recipes require more than two ingredients. Make sure you choose the correct ingredient, because you cannot switch between them once selected. To handle these dishes easier, purchase the Holding Plate. It will allow you to put certain ingredients aside, freeing your hands when the wrong ingredient is selected, or to place something that will be needed later aside.
Locations
Each location has a different type of cuisine and new dishes. Your truck will eventually reach a road block in each location. You must pay Star Tokens to continue past it. Star Tokens are obtained by earning a "3-star" rank on levels and by unlocking location goals. Each location has a new set of three location goals. To move on to the next location you have to wait 24 hours, or pay 15 cash.
Power-ups
Power-ups can also be added to your recipes. They can be purchased or received as rewards. For example, the Fire Extinguisher stops recipes from burning.
Premium ingredients
Before each level begins you have the opportunity to purchase premium ingredients. They will allow you to get better tips from customers. You can also send requests to your friends for premium ingredients.
Restoring supplies
Supplies act as energy, and is replenished over time. You normally must wait 100 minutes to restore 50 supplies. You can advance the time on your device by that amount of time to get the supplies immediately, then set the time back to its correct value.
Tips
To earn more tips, simply serve your customer faster. Make sure your hands are never empty. Take completed dishes to customers using both hands, and never ever let your food burn.
