To get get berries but not to clear mud or goo, ignore those obstacles. Concentrate on getting your food and allow any mess to get cleaned up as you progress. Watch the paths in front of your Nibblers and launch them if you have collected a lot of fruit that will count towards your goal.
Boosters
After failing a level, you can watch an advertising video to get a free booster, which varies after each level. The damaged blockers are very useful to have on your retry.
Clearing
After those areas have been taken care of, begin matching tiles at the bottom. The falling blocks might remove a lot if new matches are made.
Give priority to tiles that cannot be placed in a match. Focus on removing them all as soon as possible.
If your goal requires clearing a lot of mud or goo and removing a reptile, concentrate on clearing obstacles first. A reptile will probably end up in your path as you are cleaning up.
Start with the hard to reach places, especially in later levels. After those areas have been taken care of, begin matching tiles at the bottom. The falling blocks might remove a lot if new matches are made.
Connection bonuses
Connect to Facebook to be able to save your progress across devices, get extra lives faster, and gain bonuses for use.
Extra lives
Advance the time on your device by as much as needed to earn additional lives. Afterwards, set the time back to its correct value.
Extra Nibblers
After losing a level, you can choose an option to watch a video advertisement to get a bonus Nibbler when you begin the next round. If you "X" out of the level, the option will still be there if you return to the level during that same session. If you close the game and try to return to that level, the option to watch the ad for the bonus Nibbler will not become available unless you fail the level again.
Nibbler types
Each Nibbler has the indicated abilities.
Bitelings: Match five fruits in an "L" or "T" pattern. When released, they will clear out rows and columns in each of the four directions.
Bouncer: Cascade multiple combinations. He will clear almost an entire board with one drop. Connect to Facebook and invite friends to play to summon him faster.
Coral the lavender anglerfish: Match four of the same fruit. You can launch her in any direction to clear out that row or column.
Octo: Match five fruits in a line. He will break through three rows or columns when released.
Nibblers
When two nibblers get in each other's path, the rows and columns they can clear out will change depending on which one is used to start the move. Make sure you use an order that results in the most area that will end up cleared to match your goals. If you change your mind about a move, you can abort it as long as you do not release and launch a Nibbler. Drag instead of flick if you do not want to immediately launch.
Power-ups
Save power-ups for use against Bosses. Use them sparingly because of their cost.
Reptile types
When you enter a reptile level, determine which type you are facing.
Moving reptiles must be hit twice with matches on their heads.
Mud reptiles move to a new place if you match a fruit combo near them. Do not chase him unless you can easily spawn a Nibbler in his path. You will not be able to predict where he will land if triggered by a nearby match. Keep clearing mud and allow him go where desired. Eventually he will end up in a spot where you can get him easily with a straight shot, and will not have wasted time not cleaning. When a mud reptile is not in a good location to get, make a nearby match to force it to move. He might end up in the path of a Nibbler, preventing the use of an extra move.
Snake-like reptiles (spit sticky goo) and turtle-like reptiles (hide in their shells) must be taken out by a Nibbler. If you have a snake, wait to target it. Snakes should be taken out as quickly as possible before the level is filled with goo which makes it difficult to get matches.
Static reptiles are taken out by any adjacent fruit match.
Stunning reptiles
Reptiles can only be temporarily stunned. Eliminate them within three moves to make the most of your matches.
