Battles

The game uses a battle system where you must tap with precise timing to continue attacking your enemies. To execute the maximum amount of damage, you must tap with perfect timing. This is easy to do by tapping the next character's icon a moment before the text on the battlefield reaches the enemy. Wait until the attack words get to the center of the enemy, then send in your next crew member. The better the timing, the more damage will occur. Each crew member has different timing windows and will require some adjustment. It is usually better to tap earlier than later in order to get a "Good" or "Great" rank; once you are past the "Perfect" rank window of opportunity there is no bonus.

Rainbow Gems

Rainbow Gems are game's primary currency and is used to restore stamina, expand the character box, and recruit rare characters. Their best use is to get rare characters. Rainbow Gems can be earned after certain events in the storyline. You can also earn up to five Rainbow Gems by tapping the screen repeatedly while the game is loading the next story segment.

Restoring health

When low on health, check if any of your crew members has meat in their type slots. Make sure not to get a "Perfect" on your next attack or it will knock the meat away.

Special abilities

Special abilities only activate after a certain number of turns have passed. Sometimes it is better to intentionally end a chain against an enemy who will be easy to defeat or one that will not attack for several more turns, in order to bring your crew's special abilities one turn closer to being ready for more challenging opponents.

Stat advantages

Each character has particular primary stat. Red is STR, green is DEX, and blue is QCK. STR is stronger than DEX, DEX is stronger than QCK, and QCK is stronger than STR. There are two additional types, PSY (yellow) and INT (purple) that cancel each other out. Send in a crew member that is stronger than the enemy's type to do more damage. If their type slot also matches their innate type, they will do even more damage.

Tandem Attacks

Tandem Attacks are special attacks that can be used with the correct combination of characters. When available, a "TND" icon will appear near the characters. When tapped, players will have to choose characters in the correct order to perform a high damage area of effect attack. It can defeat many regular enemies and deal large amounts of damage to Bosses.

Tips and Tricks

You can earn up to 5 Rainbow Gems if you tap the screen repeatedly while the game is loading the next story segment.

Upgrades

When first starting, you will eventually reach the 20 person limit of the character box. Power up your favorite characters by sacrificing extra crew members that will not be used. If you do not have anyone to power up or need Beli, sell your extra crew members. Note: If needed, spend a rainbow gem to increase your character box by five slots. Go to the details page of each character and look at the top left corner to view their category. Some cards are classified as "boosters" or "evolvers". Boosters give a lot of experience and sometimes stat boosts when used to power up existing cards. Evolvers are catalysts that cards require when you try to evolve them to their next form. Make sure to save the evolvers and use the boosters on your favorite cards. Your ship can be upgraded in the shipyard if you have enough cola. Different types of ships affect your crew in various ways. Upgrading a ship improves its ability.
