Increase the number of wins you need for victory to increase the number of Lightnings you're awarded.
You can always grind out Lightnings by playing a two-player game by yourself. Just saying.
The Missions offer the most fun when playing by yourself, so invest a bunch of hours into that aspect to make the most of your time.
