The double jump is tremendously useful, but don't let yourself rely on it or get in the habit of using it as a matter of course. Sometimes, a double jump can foul you up, and the last thing you want is for a double jump to become your natural response to everything. Focus instead on playing as well as you can with the double jump, and only use it when it is pulling you out of a tough spot when no other option will.

As you leap through the world, you'll be able to collect in-game currency in the form of gems. This precious loot will allow you to change how the game appears, but otherwise won't make any real impact. You can safely ignore any that will put your high score run at risk, and in fact, that's precisely what you should do. Worry about the gems only when you're just playing a session to goof around.

You'll need to precisely time your leaps in order to get far in the game, and the best way to do that is with practice. There are areas where you'll have to cross a wide gap, and it's easy to jump too soon. That will prevent you from clearing hte gap. When double jumping, you must also exercise caution. You'll get the most air if you jump again at the peak of the first leap. Otherwise, you're headed for another failure.
