In Classic mode, you can play the roulette to randomly win prizes after defeating opponents. To choose your prize instead of it being random, spin the prize wheel, then press the Home button to leave the game. If you pressed it just ahead of the meter's halfway point, you can press and hold A as you return to the game to receive the next item indicated. Otherwise, simply repeat the process until the upcoming item is the one desired.
Easy custom moves
There are a total of 376 different custom moves, most of which are awarded randomly. To get them quickly, you can try to get the red wrench icon during the roulette wheel sequence in Classic mode. Press Home to pause the game while the roulette spins. If the wrench icon is just above the icon that is selected while you paused, hold A and resume the game. The wrench icon should roll down and be selected. If the icon selected was the wrench itself or if the wrench icon is not above the one that is selected, do not press A and resume. Instead, repeat until the wrench icon is above the icon that is selected. Note: If you allow the roulette to roll for too long, it will eventually come to a stop automatically. With some patience and constant grinding, you should be able to unlock all the custom moves for your desired character quicker than normal.
Faster Character Unlocks
If you want to unlock new characters quickly, go to Smash (offline) and set your stock to one. Then immediately fall to your doom as each match begins. Keep repeating that process until you have played enough brief matches to unlock all desired characters.
Fight the secret boss "Master Core"
To fight the secret boss "Master Core", you must play Classic mode and reach the final boss of Classic Mode on intensity 6.0 or higher, as well as choose the black path. In the fight against Master Hand and Crazy Hand, after dealing a certain amount of damage against either hand, the hands will disappear from battle, and Master Core will take their place. If you play on intensity 8.0 or higher, Master Core will have an additional form.
Fighting Master Core
Reach the end of Classic mode, and choose the black path on the 5.1 intensity or higher. After doing enough damage while fighting both Master Hand and Crazy Hand, Crazy Hand will leave and Master Hand will turn into Master Core. Master Core can assume many forms, depending on the difficulty. His "Sapien" form appears when the intensity is set to 7.5 or higher. His "Scorpion" form appears when the intensity is set between 6.0 and 7.4. When the intensity is set between 5.1 to 5.9, Master Core will be in "Sabres", "Simulacrum", or "Source" forms. After defeating all forms of the Master Core, its real form can be fought. Note: You are forced to fight Master Core on the 8.0 intensity and higher. In the Japanese version, you are forced to fight Master Core at on the 9.0 intensity.
