To get Unlimited Lives you must beat the game. Then go to any world with a light green toad house. (The same as a 1-up mushroom) About 7 boxes should pop up and you will hit them until you find one with Bowser on it (You lose). If you do good you should get an easy, decent amount of lives each time. Then just re-enter.
