Fish in shady, cool spots where bass like to hide. Make sure that your casts touch down at a far enough distance from the fish so they do not get scared away. Reel the line in slowly or to also avoid frightening the fish. Only throw back fish when you are determined to catch bigger ones. A few pounds of bass are better than none on your tournament ranking.
