Wander around Coastal Highway or any area with a fishing hut. Have your best clothing and items to make a fire, except for the wood itself. You will also require food, water, and also fishing equipment. Go to the fishing hut and begin to gather firewood. Place a fireplace directly in front of the fishing hut's entrance and light it. Put in all the gathered firewood so the fire will burn for at least eleven hours. If desired, sleep or try to get some fish out of the hole. Get more firewood and add it to the fire when you have the time. You can take out your sleeping bag and rest for twelve hours. Repeat the process until "Beneath a Starry Sky" is earned.
Easy "Deep Forest" Achievement
Alan's cave in Mystery Lake is the easiest place to obtain this. Probably. There is a hunting stand nearby with plenty of twigs nearby - all you need to do is scavenge for genuene firewood early on. Stack up some canned food,. Also, prey in this area might help. Sustain your fire with twigs and woods you find to the north from the cave (it's just there more of them) - it should be enough for 3 days. If not head south to the lake. I recommend not to leave your fire alone for more then 5-6 hours.
Easy "Exploration Game" Achievement
Enter every structure with a loading screen in Mystery Lake and Coastal Highway. This includes every vehicle and building except for ruins, lookouts and fishing huts.
Easy "Freight-Train of Hate and Hunger" Achievement
This is a very tricky thing to do if you dont know the scenario's mechanics. The old bear is no ordinary bear, you need to fight the bear six times at different spots, in each stage, you need to shoot the bear and avoid its rampage. One hit! Dont waste bullets! Once you hit the bear, you need to find somewhere safe, either try to move to a tree or a hard to get cliff, with luck and skill, the bear wont get you and it will move to the next stage. Track and follow the blood to the next area. You will notice green boxes with supplies in the areas the bear is supposed to have an encounter with you. Remember, no matter how many times you shoot the bear, it will not die until you scare and follow it SIX times into clearcut, where the final encounter is supposed to happen. Additional Tips: Save often and in different slots and try different things. You can see if an encounter was successful by checking the logs (the mission details has a counter) When you are getting close to the area where the bear is waiting for you, the game will autosave, use this to notice that the bear might be near. Tracking the bear is tricky, save after it flees and try to track him, if you cant find it by going one way, reload and try going another way until you find it again. Sometimes and with good aim, you can shoot the bear at very long range and instead of charging at you, it will just run away.

Place all the firewood you have for it to last for about twelve hours. Take out your sleeping bag and rest as long as possible. "Night Walker" will be earned the next morning.

Remain alive and only eat food that was looted. Try not to get attacked by a wolf; if you injure it, it may die after running off.
Easy "Penitent Scholar" Achievement
The game puts randomized skill books in important locations, since books dont decay, you can take your time finding these. The hardest book to find is the advanced shooting book. Guns! guns! guns! which takes 25 hours to research. I found my copy in the bottom of the Ravine (exit east of Carter's Dam in Mystery Lake), bring a rope and some coffee for the climb back! The book was inside a railroad transportation cart thing that fell to the bottom of the abyss, it's back in the driver's seat. Dont forget to bring charcoal so you can map this place for the cartographer achievo.
Easy "Waste Not, Want Not" Achievement
Harvest ten complete deer carcasses. To harvest a complete deer carcass, take all the remaining meat, all its leather, and all the guts. Note: It will not matter if you hunted the deer or find a frozen carcass. If it is cold outside, take the meat first, as the leather and guts will remain longer.
