During the post game section, you can unlock additional character classes. Go to the green SOS signal on your map and rescue the castaway. Teleport to Transporter 04 in the FOB map and search northeast in the jungle to recover the castaway. On the path to the castaway, you will encounter new enemies, such as burning Wanderers that cannot be killed. You will also encounter armored Wanderers that are difficult to kill. Do not try to fight them yet, as it is easier to just run by them. To unlock the new classes, access the final memory board located in a small village north of Ruins 03 in the FOB map. Use the Walker Gear marker located at Ruins 03 to make it easier. The following are the bonus classes:
Assault: Close-quarters combat specialist.
Jaeger: Marskman specialist.
Medic: First aid and support specialist.
Scout: Infiltration and maneavers specialist.
Note: You can only set one sub class at a time. After choosing a class, set the skills in the sub class loadout, as you will not be able to use all skills in a sub class at the same time. The only skills that do not need to be added to the loadout are the stat boosts.
Easy food and water
Simply go to the base of operations and join an online lobby to instantly increase your food and water to 25%. Anytime you are low on food, just enter and leave a multiplayer lobby to get a boost to 25% food and water.
Easy materials and Kuban
Salvage missions are a good way to get materials. Use the following trick to easily get materials from Salvage mission. Join a Salvage mission session. Unequip all gear so you can sprint directly to the objective. Place the extractor and clear the area of any wanderers. Immediately begin the waves instead of waiting for the timer to complete. Once it begins collecting Iris energy, interact with the extractor and immediately withdraw to end the mission and get rewards simply for starting it. It does not matter the difficulty or rank. Note: You can get better items on harder difficulties.
Fighting powerful creatures
After completing the first Base Defense in the end game section, a "Powerful Creature Detected" special mission type will appear. They are difficult bosses to defeat, but you will get orange loot boxes for defeating them. It is recommended to first unlock the new character classes and put points into them before fighting the powerful creatures. The following are some of the powerful creatures you can fight and how to defeat them:
Big Mouth: The first boss is Level 43. It is a huge T-Rex monster with a large mouth and a side-mounted mini-gun that can quickly kill you without the correct equipment. Grenades do not damage this boss. To make the fight easier, use the Scout's invisibility ability. Hide behind the fence entrance into the ruins arena, as Big Mouth cannot follow you. Bring a powerful shotgun, heavy arrows, C4, turrets, grenades, and molotovs. When your invisibility drains, run and hide. Wait for it to come back, then repeat the process until it is defeated.
Frostbite: The second boss is Level 50 and only appears after defeating Big Mouth. Frostbite is a flying octopus-like monster that is actually quite a bit easier to defeat than Big Mouth. Use the Scout's invisibility ability to clear the arena of wanderers, then shoot the weakpoint with a sniper rifle. When Frostbite glows orange, shoot the spot with a powerful sniper rifle. Hit that spot twice to stagger Frostbite, knocking it onto the ground and stunning it. While Frostbite is stunned, rush close and shoot the shotgun into the glowing orange weak point until it recovers. Repeat this process until it is defeated.
Getting animals to respawn quickly
Once you reach a certain part of the story, you can build small tents to sleep in. If you sleep long enough, animals will respawn. Sleeping drains your food and health quickly, so you may only be able to sleep for 4-5 hours at a time, but it is worth it. Enter and leave a multiplayer lobby to instantly increase your food and water to 25%. Go back to Single Player mode, and sleep in a tent for as long as possible, then repeat the process. Check the map every 2-3 times after doing this to see if the notifications are appearing again. Once the animals have respawned, you will see the colored circles on the map indicating their position. While this drains a lot of your food and water, once all the animals have spawned again, you can farm them to get a good supply of food. Repeat this process as many times as desired.
Getting clean water
Reach Chapter Seven in the single player campaign to unlock the Campfire and upgraded Hanging Pot. Build both for a renewable source of clean water. Construct a canteen to keep a large source of clean water. You can also find clean water in bottles around the environment. Search every area to get enough to survive until Chapter Seven. If you build a canteen early and fill it with infected water, you will have to drink it all to clear space and replace it with clean water.
Getting food
From the main base, you can find potatoes in a variety of specialized locations. Travel down the hill to a few buildings and search by the burn pit. Also, check the area around the crashed helicopter to find potatoes for your garden. Corn is an even better item to grow in your garden. It can be found east of your basecamp; just keep searching for resources. Although gardens are good to have, growing is not the most efficient way to stay fed. It takes two hours to grow, so you will still need to hunt for animals and other food items. Between larger meals, it is recommended to listen for small animals. Listen for squeaks and shoot rats or other rodents, then cook the meat for a small boost. Do not search the same areas, as you normally have to push into new locations to get more food and water. Animals do respawn, but it is a slow process.
Uncap FPS
If you are like me, then you would like to push more than 60 FPS! To do this go to your Steam User folder. In your User folder, there should be one folder unless you have multiple users. Inside that folder find the 543900 folder and open the Local folder. Right click the SSD_GRAPHICS_CONFIG file and search for Framerate_Control and change it from "Auto" to "Variable" and you can go over 60. If you edit your settings you have to redo this.
Unlocking Subclasses
First thing todo using sub-classes is always just how to divert them. Somewhat disappointingly, it takes completing the whole single-player story for to the purpose of downloading them. After completing the key Story, you are certain to find yourself a assignment to scavenge yet another Memory Board. This assignment specifically includes two "post game" assignments, one that requires one to dig the own base, and also one other to save a survivor. After that you'll be made to input the Skill Trainer to check at your four fresh sub-class choices.
