Take advantage of the Combat Shotgun, you will gain access to this weapon early on in the game and it is particularly effective at stripping away the armour off enemies, leaving them vulnerable to regular shots. Firing the Combat Shotgun without aiming will allow you to hit multiple enemies with a spread, while aiming down the sights will focus the pellets into a single slug shot.
