To flush birds without your dog even moving, hit "C" then hit "F". If you did it right the birds will flush.

Shoot a bird. Shoot it again as it is falling. Sometimes the game will credit you with more than one bird.

While playing press C to show birds. They are yellow on the map screen and red on the field screen.
