Start the single player Campaign mode under the Regular or higher difficulty level. Complete the "Ghost Stories", "Brave New World", "No Man's Land", and "Struck Down" missions to unlock the "Extinction Mode" option at the main menu. Alternately, start Multiplayer Career mode and reach level 5.

Find and shoot the three Extinction Hive eggs hidden in zone 2 (crater area) of the map. Every player will now have speedy hand actions (for example, reloading and setting turrets), see through walls, and turn enemies into mushrooms when killed.

Interact with three torches in the map to open a secret door that leads to a hidden chamber that contains a killstreak crate. After collecting it, sprint out of the room before the door closes.
