Ok, when you have created your character, head for the lighthouse but dont go inside, there are big rocks surrounding the lighthouse, jump on them and when you are behind the lighthouse, there is a hollow tree stump which you can look in, there is an enchanted axe inside. Not 100% sure of damage rating, but definantly a good weapon for start of the game. It has a value of about 300 gold i think.
