If you keep the mentor after it being told that your training has ended with them, after you complete Parallel Quests a green question mark will occasionally appear over their head. Talk to them and select the "Spar" option. They will give you their other level 4 or level 5 second Z-Soul as a reward if you win. It really does not matter if you lose.
