Successfully complete the game with all of the nine initial samurai to unlock Jion in Combat mode.

If you do not have full health when at a Boss, have your back to them but the camera pointed towards the Boss so you can see what they are doing. For every step they take, take the same amount away from them. Just keep going in circles and eventually your health will be full again. This can also be done with the regular enemies if needed.
