Alternate introduction sequence

Choose a New Game + mode and wait for the opening song to end. Begin to burn the Joker to view an alternate introduction sequence with different commentary.

Batman: Arkham series references

Enter the Gotham City Police Department and explore the Evidence Locker to see weapons and items confiscated from villains in previous Batman: Arkham series of games.

Big Head Mode

At the main menu or while in gameplay, hold L2 and R2 trigger and rotate the right analog stick in circular motion (clockwise or counter clockwise) until the character's head turns big. This effect applies to all playable and non-playable character in the game, including the "Showcase" models. To disable the mode, execute the same input again.

DC Universe References

Throughout the game, many of the thugs Batman encounters will discuss other cities and heroes in the DC universe, including Metropolis, Bludhaven, Keystone and Central City. There are also several buildings owned by other DC heroes and villains.

Catwoman makes reference to having burgled Queen Industries, which is the large corporation owned by Oliver Queen - A.K.A. Green Arrow.

There are several billboards advertising vacation packages to Santa Prisca, which is the home country of the villain Bane. Many Militia members can also be heard referencing the South American country.

Other thugs reference the fact that Gotham beats out Keystone because you can at least see Batman coming, unlike The Flash, who hails from Keystone.

Default suit Pristine Edition

Beat the game once on any difficulty to unlock default suit's undamaged version.

Easy "Angel in the Dark" trophy

You must complete the Azeral side quests. The quests are to avoid getting hit in the fight.

Easy "Dark Allegiances" trophy

This occurs during a side mission. After clearing all the mines from the city, you will have a tank battle again with Deathstroke. Note: You will not trigger the final three mine locations until the end of the main storyline. Unlike the first battle, you do not have to scan the main tank. Just continue to fire your main cannon. Also, all five Cobras do not need to be destroyed. Make sure the sidekicks do not get involved, as the Cobra tanks are harder to kill because they can only be destroyed by a critical hit from the rear, and require a very long time to target lock.

Easy "Days of Fire" trophy

You must extinguish all the fires at the fire stations and catch the villain after a car race. The final fire station is unreachable until the bridge is lowered, after progression of the main storyline.

Easy "Double Jeopardy" trophy

This occurs during a side quest that involves an old friend at Wayne Tower. Make sure you counter the attack.

Easy "Gates of Gotham" trophy

The watchtowers are easily found by looking for the red spotlight outside the building. However, all locations are only revealed at the end of the main storyline. Use your disruptor wisely. Disable the minigun or hack the drone, as well as use an environment takedown for the "crisis" muscleman. Even without those upgrades, you should still able to takedown all of them. Remember to destroy the control machine before you leave.

Easy "Gotham After Midnight" trophy

Eject from the fast moving Batmobile and fly along a straight road.

Easy "Knightfall" trophy

Have a 100% completion by finishing all side quests, Riddler trophies etc. Note: You do not need to unlock all the AR challenges. You can continue with the side quests after completing the main storyline.

Easy "Run Through the Jungle" trophy

Install the Super Eject Level 2 upgrade for the Batmobile. Begin at a bridge and super eject yourself upwards. Loop under the bridge where you started at, and continuously soar through the air and dive. Repeat the process until you reach the next bridge, fly over it, and loop back under it.

Easy "Scar of the Bat" trophy

You must catch the Man-Bat in a side quest. Listen to the radio while flying above the three islands to determine his presence. You must catch him three times from above. His appearance is triggered by progressing the main storyline.

Easy "The Real Deal" trophy

While exploring Gotham City, you will find thugs in "cars". Glide towards them until prompted to apply Explosive Gel. Note: If you dive land on them, you will auto apply Explosive Gel. Repeat the process as many times as needed.

Easy "Touch of Death" trophy

You must destroy the final weapon cache and lock up the Penguin in GCPD. To track the car, if your target just drives in loops, quit the mission and restart it. The car will never return to base.

GCPD Evidence Locker

When in the GCPD, Batman can view the Evidence Locker, which contains weapons an gear confiscated by villains throughout Batman's adventures in Arkham Origins (note elsewhere also the references to the Blackgate Riots that took place during that game), Arkham Asylum, and Arkham City - all of which have voice recordings from Aaron Cash.

You can find Talia's sword in the Evidence Locker, and inspecting it will cause Batman to have a private moment of reflection.

Any additional enemies apprehended during the course of Arkham Knight will see their weapons and items added to the Evidence Locker.

Happy Unicorn

Using the compass on the map, go to coordinates (1617,2295). There you will find a couch and a shopping cart with a tv in it. Stand next to the couch and pull out the remote hacking device and face the tv. There will be a floating invisible switch next to the tv. Turn the switch on and the tv will turn on and an 8-bit unicorn will be dancing on the tv with the words "happy unicorn".

I Am the Night mode

Complete New Story + mode.

James Baltierra

Go to the train station located near Grand Avenue. You can find posters that advertise various destinations. One of them is Metropolis.

Metal Gear series reference

Sometimes when you die, Joker will say "Bats? Bats? BAAAAAATS?!" and pretend he is on a comm.

New Story + mode

Successfully complete the game under the normal or higher difficulty setting to unlock the "New Story +" option at the main menu. You will retain your WayneTech upgrades and experience points and will be play under the Knightmare difficulty setting.

Solomon Grundy reference

Go to coordinates 2208, 1851 and enter the door at that location. You will be in a room with a gramophone playing a recording of Solomon Grundy's poem.

Solomon Grundy Room

Consult the map of Gotham and travel to the coordinates 2208, 1851. You'll find a door you can enter to reach a room with a Gramophone playing a recording of the poem of Solomon Grundy.

Star Wars reference

After the first encounter with Penguin when you are trapped in the small room with the ambush outside, wait until the Joker says "Use the car Bats" in a way that mirrors Luke being told to use The Force.

Superman references

Listen to the messages on Bruce's answering machine at Wayne Tower to hear several messages from Lex Luthor Some thugs can be heard referencing Superman. The location where missile launcher is located is in "Otisburg", which refers to the fictitious town in the '70s Superman movie.

The Dark Knight Coaster Reference

Play through the Batgirl DLC (released as "A Matter of Family") until you reach a point where you head underground, shortly after rescuing two officers who were drowning. Look for a room with 2 boxes on top of each other. They have a "2008 05 15" label on them. This date is a reference to the date when the Dark Knight Coaster opened to the public in the Six Flags theme park.

The Flash reference

Go to the train station located near Grand Avenue. You can find posters that advertise various destinations. One of them is Keystone City, home of The Flash.

The Gray Ghost reference

Various posters featuring The Gray Ghost can be found. This is a reference to the "Beware the Gray Ghost" episode of the Batman animated series.

Train Station Posters

Head to the train station located near Grand Avenue. Look around to find posters that advertise travel destinations. These include Keystone City (home of The Flash), Metropolis (Superman's home). Look closely at the artwork promoting those destinations and you'll see the heroes on display.

True Ending

Achieve 100% completion, including all side quests and Riddler challenges.

Upgrades

The following upgrades have the listed effects.

Close combat
Aerial Juggle: Super stun followed by a series of powerful strikes against normal enemies.
Batclaw Super Stun: Fires the Batclaw to bring enemies near you to stun them.
Batmobile Assisted Takedown Boost: Batmobile assisted takedown becomes available after a x6 combo.
Blade Dodge Takedown: Instantly take out an enemy who uses a bladed weapon by performing a dodge.
Charged Super Stun: Perform a Super Stun without having to perform three stun attacks.
Critical Strikes: Time your next strike perfectly to double the damage.
Freeflow Focus MK II: Increased damage when striking enemies with a full combo meter. Each attack with FreeFlow Focus MK II lowers the Combo meter and damage to normal.
Special Combo Batarang: Release up to three Batarangs that detonate upon impact with a full combo meter.
Special Combo Batclaw: Increase effectiveness of Batclaw when combo meter is full.
Special Combo Boost: Reduce combo move unlock to x5.
Special Combo Disarm and Destroy: Disarm enemy and destroy their weapon with a full combo meter.
Special Combo Explosive Gel: Increase effectiveness of Explosive Gel when combo meter is full.
Special Combo Freeze Blast: Boosted Freeze blast freezes enemies in a small area.
Special Combo Multi Ground Takedown: Incapacitates all floored enemies with a full combo meter.
Special Combo REC: Damage multiple targets with a chain arc of electricity with a full combo meter, stunning them for a few seconds.
Weapon Steal MK II: Increase the time you can hold a weapon from an enemy before it breaks.

Batsuit
Ballistic Armor Level 1: 25% added protection against enemy projectiles.
Ballistic Armor Level 2: 50% added protection against enemy projectiles.
Ballistic Armor Level 3: 75% added protection against enemy projectiles.
Ballistic Armor Level 4: 100% added protection against enemy projectiles.
Fear Multi-Takedown x4: Perform Fear Takedown on up to four enemies in quick succession.
Fear Multi-Takedown x5: Perform Fear Takedown on up to five enemies in quick succession.
Glide Boost Attack: Glide Kick to lock onto your target and then initiate a Dive Bomb. If the Bat-symbol icon is filled before impact, you will knock out your target and any enemies behind them.
Grapnel Boost MK III: Launch yourself higher and faster with the Grapnel Boost.
Grapnel Boost MK IV: Greatly increases the height, range, and speed of the Grapnel Boost.
Grapple Takedown: Grapple on a ledge below an enemy then vault around to perform a takedown.
Melee Armor Level 1: 25% added protection against melee attacks.
Melee Armor Level 2: 50% added protection against melee attacks.
Melee Armor Level 3: 75% added protection against melee attacks.
Melee Armor Level 4: 100% added protection against melee attacks.
Shockwave Attack: Dive bomb to the ground then perform a powerful shockwave attack that knocks down nearby enemies.

Tech gadget
Disruptor - Optic Disruption Armor: Disable the enemy's Optic Disruption Armor to make them visible in Detective mode.
Disruptor - Sabotage Ammo: Overload two enemy weapons at once, or disrupt up to four enemy weapons in a single predator encounter.
Disruptor - Sabotage Detective Mode Jammer: Sabotage any Detective Mode jammer to instantly disable it and release a deafening signal that disrupts nearby enemies.
Disruptor - Sabotage Detective Mode Scanner: Sabotage the Detective Mode Scanner to explode and incapacitate wielder when it locks onto your Detective Mode signal.
Disruptor - Sabotage Drone: Sabotage a drone's weapon system to make it self-destruct whenever it attempts to fire at you.
Disruptor - Sabotage Medic: Incapacitates a Medic when they attempt to revive a downed enemy.
Disruptor - Sabotage Mine: Detonate enemy mines and incapacitates nearby enemies.
Disruptor - Sabotage Sentry Gun Dispenser: Sabotage a sentry gun to make it explode, incapacitating its operator using it.
Disruptor - Sabotage Stun Sticks: Sabotage a stun stick and incapacitates its owner when used.
Explosive Gel 1: Instantly incapacitates an enemy near Explosive Gel and stun others nearby.
Explosive Gel 2: Greatly increases stun duration by Explosive Gel.
Explosive Gel 3: Increases the radial range of Explosive Gel detonation.
Freeze Blast - Freeze Duration: Increases duration of the freeze effect on an enemy for all freeze-based weapons.
Freeze Blast - Proximity Mine: Freeze blast proximity mine that automatically detonates when an enemy is close.
Freeze Cluster - Proximity Mine: Combination of Proximity Mine and Freeze Cluster.
Freeze Cluster: Powerful freeze blast that affects a cluster of enemies.
Remote Hacking Device - Drone Hacker MK II: Increases duration of the Remote Hacking Device's jamming effect.
Sabotage Boa Drone Controller: Sabotage the Boa Drone to incapacitate its controller.
Smoke Pellet - AoE: Increases area of effect and overall radius of smoke after throwing a Smoke Pellet.
Smoke Pellet - Duration: Increases duration of smoke after throwing a Smoke Pellet.

Batarang Combat Damage: Increases Batarang power in combat.
Batarang Stun Duration: Increases stun duration of Batarang.
Batclaw - Disarm Firearm: Remove an enemy's weapon with a quickfire Batclaw.
Gadgets While Gliding - Batarang: Throw a Batarang while in mid-air.
Gadgets While Gliding - Batclaw: Fire the Batclaw while gliding towards an enemy.
Gadgets While Gliding - Explosive Gel: Shoot Explosive Gel while gliding.

60mm Cannon - Chassis Shot Damage: Increases damage to a drone by a direct shot to its chassis.
60mm Cannon - Reload Speed 2: Reduces recharge time between shots by 33%.
60mm Cannon - Reload Speed: Reduces recharge time between shots by 15%.
60mm Cannon - Turret Shot Damage: Increases damage to a drone by a direct shot to its turret.
60mm Cannon Cobra Lure: Shots from the 60mm cannon attract Cobra drones to the location of the blast.
Emergency Weapon Energy: Instantly charges weapon energy to level 2 when Batmobile armor reaches critical level.
Energy Absorption Efficient: Increases amount of weapon energy gained per enemy destroyed for secondary weapon.
Energy Storage Protection: Prevents loss of weapon energy when the Batmobile takes a hit.
