Highlight a character and press Start. Then, press A for the original Arcade version color scheme. Press Start again for the alternate color scheme.

In Versus mode, press 'Start when selecting a stage. Shao Kahn laugh. That stage's music will be replaced with a song from a previous Mortal Kombat title. Note: The following stages do not have an alternate soundtrack: The Courtyard (Night), Desert, The Flesh Pits, Hell, Rooftop (Dusk), Shao Kahn's Throne Room, Shang Tsung's Gardens, Shang Tsung's Gardens (Night), and The Bell Tower.

Choose a person at the character selection screen in Ladder mode, Then, hold Back while choosing a difficulty setting. The game will default to include Goro, instead of Kintaro in the boss Fight.

Get to Stage 61, the stage where Cyrax has 30 seconds to drop bombs in a moving bucket, pause and hit RETRY before the timer runs out. You get 50 Koins for each bucket and accumulates Koins until you let the timer expire. It's not quick but it works.

Complete the indicated task in Arcade mode to unlock the corresponding battle.

Secret "Jade" battle: Get a double flawless victory and perform a fatality on Shang Tsung when battling against him.
Secret "Noob Saibot" battle: When you see Noob in "The Temple" stage's background, win that battle without using [Block].
Secret "Reptile" battle: On "The Pit 2 (Night)" stage, wait until a shadowy figure flies across the moon, then get a double flawless victory and perform a stage fatality.
Secret "Smoke" battle: On "The Living Forest" stage, wait until Smoke appears behind one of the trees then immediately press Down + Back repeatedly.

In the Krypt, the following locations will give you secret treasure chests. They each contain 5,000 Koins; there are a total of 4 secret chests to give you an additional 20,000 Koins! Look for small, green areas on the ground that resemble acid moving around in a puddle.

Select any fighter with an alternative costume, select costume with START then cancel and select Skarlet and press START again. She will be a purple color.

When unlocking anything in the Krypt, press A to skip the animation. This makes browsing much faster.
